Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences became the first among the medical universities in the country to obtain a certificate of operational competence validation for its Innovation Center from the Deputy of Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidential Office.

Dr. Seyed-Mohammad Omrani, the Vice-chancellor of Research and Technology at Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, elaborated on this news, stating that the Innovation Center serves as an intermediary between accelerators and growth centers, operating with a supportive-economic integrated approach.

He emphasized that this center plays a significant role in investing in and deepening technological ideas and projects. Dr. Omrani added that the center also adopts an economic perspective with a problem-solving approach to implement a revenue model for the center and generate income for the universities, thereby playing a crucial role in empowering faculty members, students, researchers, and innovators.

According to him, the Deputy of Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidential Office, as the authority for certifying innovation centers, has entrusted the auditing and evaluation of these centers to the Technology Commercialization and Knowledge-Based Economy Organization of the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research. The Deputy of the Management and Development of Technology and Innovation Structures, in collaboration with the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research of the province, conducted a visit to the center after receiving and reviewing the documents and evidence, and submitted their report to the Office for the Development of Innovation Ecosystem Infrastructure at the Deputy of Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidential Office.
