2016
Establishment of the Research Institute
Pursuant to the resolution adopted at the 253rd Session of the Council of Universities of Medical Sciences, held on May 15, 2016, the establishment of this research institute was officially approved.
The institute encompasses the Cellular and Molecular Research Center, the Medicinal Plants Research Center, and the Clinical Biochemistry Research Center.

Biography
Dr. Seyed Abbas Mirzaei was born in 1977 in Mashhad, Iran. He completed his primary and secondary education in District 1 of Mashhad.
In 1996, he was admitted to the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Kerman University of Medical Sciences and graduated with honors in 2001. Following the completion of his military service, he served as Manager of Quality Control and Research at Temad Pharmaceutical Company in Mashhad.
In 2006, he was admitted to the Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Following his graduation, he joined the academic faculties of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences and Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences in 2010.

- Ranked first in the National Pharmacy Basic Sciences Examination, 1999
- Distinguished graduate of Kerman University of Medical Sciences, 2001
- Ranked first in the National Pharmacy Specialization Entrance Examination, 2006
- Ranked first in the National Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Board Examination, 2008
- Distinguished graduate of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, 2010
- Selected as the distinguished faculty member of his department for eight consecutive years, from 2010 to 2018, based on student and departmental evaluations
- Recipient of the Ministry of Health Research Grant for Distinguished Research-Oriented Assistant Professors, 2015
- Ranked first among distinguished researchers at Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, 2018
- Selected as a distinguished educational faculty member at Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, 2019

Dr. Gholamreza Mobini was born in 1973 in Shahrekord, Iran. He completed his primary and secondary education in Shahrekord.
His academic education and qualifications include:
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, graduating as one of the top students in his class
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences
- Master’s Degree in Medical Virology from the School of Public Health at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, ranked first in the program’s entrance examination
- Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, ranked second in the program’s entrance examination
