The mother of the late martyr Dr. Rezvan Nourmand donated her daughter’s echocardiography (cardiac echo) machine to the West Shahrekord Clinic.
Referring to the professional career of the late martyr Dr. Nourmand, Dr. Salehi-Fard, President of the University of Medical Sciences, stated:
“Dr. Nourmand had truly devoted herself to serving the people, and this commitment is highly commendable.”
This valuable contribution will not only expand patients’ access to specialized cardiac services but will also help reduce the volume of referrals and patient congestion at clinics located in central Shahrekord.
During a visit to various departments of the West Shahrekord Specialized Clinic, Dr. Salehi-Fard, President of the University, accompanied by the Vice President for Development and the Vice President for Treatment Affairs, reviewed and assessed the process of healthcare service delivery to citizens.
It is noteworthy that this clinic began its operations in mid-Aban 1404 (November 2025) as a general 24-hour outpatient clinic. Subsequently, from early Esfand 1404 (February 2026), following the directive of the University President and with the support of the Vice Presidency for Treatment Affairs, the presence of specialist and subspecialist physicians was made available at this center. Currently, services such as cardiology consultations (two days per week), specialist and subspecialist pediatric services, ophthalmology services, and other specialties are provided at the clinic according to a scheduled timetable.
In addition to facilitating patient access to healthcare services, the establishment of this clinic has played a significant role in reducing referral congestion at clinics in the city center. At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Salehi-Fard emphasized the necessity of further developing the clinic and expressed optimism regarding the increased presence of specialist and subspecialist physicians in the near future.
