Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences (SKUMS) successfully held the thesis defense session of an international student in the field of Microbiology, marking the first thesis defense by an international student at the University.

The thesis focused on multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, with particular attention to virulence and biofilm-associated genes in clinical isolates. The research addresses an important area of medical microbiology, particularly in relation to antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections.
