SKUMS Hosts Laboratory Tour and Safety Training for International Students
Shahrekord, November 4, 2026 – Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences (SKUMS) organized an introductory tour of the Research Institute of Basic Health Sciences, accompanied by laboratory safety training, for its international students. The program aimed to familiarize international students with the university's research infrastructure, introduce them to its laboratory facilities and scientific activities, and promote awareness of essential safety principles in research environments. During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the Research Institute of Basic Health Sciences, become acquainted with its research facilities and laboratory equipment, and gain a better understanding of the role of scientific research in advancing health sciences.
An important component of the program was the laboratory safety training, which focused on raising awareness of workplace hazards, appropriate safety practices, and the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) in laboratory environments. The initiative provided an opportunity for international students to become more familiar with the university's research environment while encouraging their engagement with scientific activities beyond the classroom. Through initiatives such as this, SKUMS continues to promote a supportive academic environment for international students, strengthen their connection with the university's research community, and encourage participation in educational and scientific programs. The International Affairs Department of SKUMS remains committed to developing opportunities that enhance international students' academic experience and facilitate their integration into the university's educational and research environment.
