Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences has achieved an impressive advancement of 938 positions in the latest global Webometrics ranking (July 2025), now standing at 3010th in the world and 21st among medical universities in the country.

In a research project at Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, the accuracy of artificial intelligence data for the rapid and accurate diagnosis of prostate and bladder cancers in men was evaluated. Dr. Fatemeh Taheri, a researcher and faculty member at Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, stated during a press conference on knowledge translation that bladder cancer, with its increasing incidence and mortality rates, poses a significant health concern.

Dr. Akbar Soleymani Babadi, Vice-chancellor of Research & Technology at Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, announced that the results of 23 completed research projects in 2024 have been published and made available to the public under the framework of "Knowledge Translation and Exchange". These projects were designed to address the real needs of the province in a problem-oriented and applied manner, conducted by faculty members and students.

According to the latest results of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences (SKUMS) has earned a prestigious position among 2,526 universities from 130 countries, recognized for its contributions toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Dr. Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi, the Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, appointed Dr. Alizamen Salehifard Joneghani as the Chancellor of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences and Health Services in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.

Dr. Shahriyar Salehi, the Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, announced that students from this university achieved the first and second ranks in the nursing Ph.D. entrance exam of the Ministry of Health.
