The acting vice-chancellor of treatment of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences announced the registration of the 17th organ donation in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province this year.

Explaining this news, Dr. Rasoul Rahimi said: Donating the organs of the late brain-dead 13-year-old Sheida Naderi in Shahrekord gave a new life to patients in need of organs.

He said that this patient was admitted to the Shahrekord Hajar Educational and Medical Center due to cerebral hemorrhage. After the doctors confirmed her brain death, her family gave their consent for organ donation with sacrifice and munificence.

Dr. Rahimi continued: The body of this patient was dismembered at the Shahrekord Ayatollah Kashani Educational and Medical Center.

In the end, he thanked all the self-sacrificing families who donated organs of brain-dead patients and prayed for patience and great reward from God Almighty for these loved ones.
