The chancellor of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari University of Medical Sciences and Health Services visited the university's forty-four technological centers and units while attending the Health Technology Incubator Center.

During this visit, beside talking to technologists, Prof. Mohammad Hossein Aarabi emphasized the motto of the year, "Production Jump with People's Participation", and discussed the ways of the operation of technological units, challenges, and solutions.

The head of the Health Technology Incubator Center of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Saeid Yazdanirad, also said in this visit: "There are currently forty-four active technological units in this center."

He added: Out of this number, 15, 10, 7, 8, and 4 technological units in the fields of "Health Information Technology", "Medical Equipment", "Medicinal Plants", "Biotechnology", and "Laboratory and Diagnosis" are now active in this center.

Referring to the performance of the Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences' Incubator Center, Dr. Yazdanirad said that 14 new technological units were added to this center last year, and also 17 new technological projects were started.

In addition, he stated that manufacturing 11 new products, registering two patents, and holding 16 training workshops were among other measures taken last year.

The head of the Health Technology Incubator Center of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences announced that technological units sold their products for about 23 billion 500 million Rials last year.

Dr. Yazdanirad also mentioned the following measures among the most important ones taken by the University's Incubator Center last year:

• Allocating one billion 650 million Tomans of Barakat Foundation credits to the technological units,

• Following up on the establishment of a semi-industrial production line of natural, traditional, and complementary products, and

• Following up on the establishment of a comprehensive center for stem cells and regenerative medicine.

He continued: Holding the first event of Health Information Technology Startup Weekend in the province, obtaining the initial approval for setting up the Health Science and Technology Park, setting up a management center for skill training and career counseling, and following up on the establishment of affiliated incubator centers in the university were also done last year.
